Upper blade for 4x3200 hydraulic guillotine – 9CrSi steel (1100 mm)
Hardness HRC 55–60
We offer a professional upper (movable) blade designed for hydraulic and mechanical guillotines with a capacity of 4×3200. This is a high-strength component, designed for the serial cutting of wide metal sheets.
Operating parameters 4x3200
This designation defines the technical capabilities of the machine:
- 4 mm – maximum thickness of the sheet being cut (structural steel).
- 3200 mm – maximum working width of the sheet.
Important operational information
To ensure the highest quality of cut, the upper blade has a sharp cutting edge, which must not be blunted or rounded off. Correct adjustment of the gap between the upper and lower blades is crucial to prevent burrs from forming on the edges of the sheet metal.
Technical specifications of the 4x3200 upper blade
The 4x3200 upper blade differs structurally from smaller models in terms of segment length and the arrangement of mounting points, which allows it to maintain rigidity when cutting sheets 3.2 metres wide.
- Geometry and Dimensions (L = 1100 mm): According to the specification, a single blade segment is 1100 mm long. This means that for the machine’s full working width (3200 mm), a set of three such segments is used, resulting in a total cutting line of 3300 mm, providing the necessary margin.
- Mounting System (n = 5): In this model, each segment has 5 mounting holes with a diameter of 18 mm, spaced axially at 200 mm intervals (Dimension B). This arrangement ensures the blade is securely mounted in the guillotine beam.
- Cutting Profile and Angle (83°): The blade is ground on one side to a precise angle of 83 degrees. This geometry is crucial for the ‘shearing’ process of cutting sheet metal, minimising the pressure required to penetrate the material.
- Material and Strength (9CrSi): The component is made from silicon-chromium alloy tool steel, hardened to a working hardness of HRC 55–60. This ensures extreme resistance to blunting and cracking, even during continuous operation with 4 mm thick sheet metal.
The technical drawing above accurately reflects the specifications contained in the manufacturer’s documentation and may be used as a basis for verifying spare parts.

Why should you choose 9CrSi steel knives?
- High stability: 9CrSi steel is characterised by excellent hardenability and resistance to cracking under dynamic loads.
- Extended service life: A hardness of up to HRC 60 allows the cutting edges to remain sharp for a significantly longer period compared to standard steel blades.
- Precision finish: The blade features chamfered mounting screw sockets, ensuring a perfect fit against the machine beam and eliminating the risk of mechanical damage during operation.
- Quality control: Each segment undergoes non-destructive testing to detect any structural defects in the steel.
- Please note that not only can you purchase top-class cutting components from our company, but we also offer a professional blade replacement service.
